Threshold Moments: Integration and Anticipation
This week is rich with threshold moments; moments when we stand between what has been and what is yet to begin. We have completed one lunar cycle and begun the next, while also welcoming the astrological new year and season of renewal.
Our New Moon is a time to set intentions. Intentions represent how we want to live and who we want to be; in this way, they are different from a set of specific goals. They look to the future of how we want to grow. This New Moon was in Pisces. The lessons of Pisces are ones of releasing the illusion of disconnection and returning to unity. It teaches us to flow with the energy of the unseen world, to show compassion for ourselves, and to empathetically connect with others. It draws our attention to the dreams that have whispered to us. It encourages surrender to the embrace of that which we hold sacred. Limitations can dissolve. Our intentions for this new lunar cycle, then, emerge from this wisdom. The question becomes,
How can we remain emotionally open to the interconnectedness of all while remaining grounded in this life?
At the Vernal Equinox, we have a pause point. All is in balance. The fluid energy of Pisces is still fresh in us as Aries becomes the new home for the Sun. It is a moment of integration and anticipation. We carry the wisdom gained through our experience of openness to flow and connection into a fresh turn of the zodiac wheel into its first sign, Aries. We are enraptured by the awakening of life around us, the first buds, the first glimpses of green. We can feel the impatient tug of springing into action.
