I Am and We AreFull Moon in Libra,April 1, 2026

All Full Moons represent two polar opposite growth opportunities tugging at us at the same time. Personal evolution occurs when we learn to integrate the opposite lessons into a whole self.

Our Sun is currently in Aries, a sign that explodes with initiating energy. There’s an urgency about the sign of Aries; an impulse to say, “let’s get on with it!” The lesson of Aries is to declare our existence, assert ourselves, make our own path, and confidently move toward our goals. But fierce independence can be lonely.

The  Full Moon is in the polar opposite zodiac sign competing with the Sun for our attention. Our current Full Moon is in Libra. Libra’s lessons teach us about connection. We learn to interact with each other with diplomacy,  harmony and balance. It feels almost serene. We seek mutuality and cooperation. Yet, all that desire for peace can mean avoidance of conflict at any price. It can also mask deep feelings of confinement and resentment. Maybe we yearn for Aries’ freedom and independence while still activating Libra's harmony. It’s common to surrender your sense of self in service to interpersonal peace. And when you lose your sense of self, it’s easy to become dependent.

The question that I asked us all to reflect on at the New Moon is still relevant:

  • How do we honor both our pioneering enthusiasm and our awareness of the necessity of connection?

I think that healing this dichotomy between individuality and connection is pivotal to any relationship. If we can’t be authentic and express our thoughts without fear of risking peace, it’s time to examine ourselves and how we connect. If we can only do things our way and lack the ability to compromise or cooperate, that too, needs deep reflection.

The lesson of any Full Moon is to integrate seemingly opposite energies.  At this peak of illumination, we commit to doing the deep inner healing of reconciling our yearning for independence with our deep desire for mutuality in connection.

This is where growth happens.

Reflection:

  • How can we honor both ourselves and the other without self-abandonment?

  • What are we learning about ourselves through the people we engage with?

  • How can we observe how we interact with curiosity rather than judgment?
