New Moon in Leo

This New Moon is also a solar eclipse. New Moons are always the beginning of a new cycle. The eclipse magnifies this energy and extends its influence over a few months. Eclipse energy is particularly strong around long term shifts, endings, and beginnings. There can be a feeling that an old version of ourselves is being released and something else is emerging. It may not be clear right away what it is we are letting go of and what internal shifts are happening because we are entering a liminal space. We are in-between who we have been and who we are becoming. In this place, we patiently allow clarity to emerge.

With the Moon in Leo, the message for each of us is to imagine how we would show up in the world if no one was watching. No applause. No validation. No criticism or rejection. Just being ourselves. This New Moon is about discovering what genuinely makes us feel alive and having the courage to express it.  We are invited to let go of the need for recognition, attention, and fitting-in that has trapped us in the stagnation of performing for others and instead listen to our hearts’ desires. 

Leo calls us back to our creativity, courage, play, joy, and self-expression. All of these qualities emerge from our hearts. Can we remain true to ourselves and express what is asking to come alive in us? Are we willing to let ourselves be seen? 

Right now, the Sun, Moon, and eclipse are providing the stimulus and the support for our emotions and purpose to move together toward a life of joyful self-expression. When we live from a place of a united heart and mind, we approach the world shining with the light of soulful becoming.
