New Moon in Virgo
New Moon in Virgo
September 10, 2026
As August ends and we move through September, the apples and pumpkins are ripe for picking, but some crops have past their prime and need to be carefully sorted. This is Virgo’s time. The energy of this sign reminds us that there is more than one kind of harvest. We’re supported in making discriminating choices between what will still feed us and what must be allowed to pass.
In Virgo, we examine what holds value for us, what will sustain us, and how we might humbly serve others. We may consider who we have been, who we hope to become, and what our work in the world is meant to be.
Choices call on a number of qualities: focus, engagement, curiosity, and discernment. We also remember that there are no perfect choices, but they all hold the possibility that this sorting time will enrich us.
As the Sun and Moon converge in Virgo, I invite all of us to create our intentions with the nature of emotional resonance, purposeful direction, and values-based choices in mind. Our intention could even be to focus on an important choice. We might try to avoid snap decisions about what our intentions for this New Moon will be. Take time to be curious.
Reflection:
What will you pick up and what will you leave behind?
How will an intentional choice make you feel? Anxious? Excited? Relieved?
What carries emotional resonance, purposeful direction, and aligns with who you are becoming?
